Where to visit Moray

Explore Moray

Macallan Distillery

The Macallan Distillery and Visitors Centre is well worth the visit- recently built at a cost of £140million it will not disappoint. You immerse yourself in the brand from the second you enter the building- it really is quite the experience.

Johnstons of Elgin

Renowned for its Cashmere and Woollen Mill, Johnstons of Elgin stocks beautiful clothes for men, women and children. It has lovely fabrics, unique rugs and a desirable selection of interior items for the home. Celia is regularly found admiring the cashmere or meeting friends in the café which is arguably one of the nicest in the area.

Gordon & McPhail

This is an independent bottler and distiller of Scotch Whisky with a specialist whisky shop in Elgin. There is a stunning selection of bottles and some delicious foods and gifts- we highly recommend a visit:

Gordon Castle

Great for a family day out as it has a beautiful walled garden, great café and a children’s play area. They create their own gin, lovely hand soap and other gift items. There are also a number of events hosted at Gordon Castle so worth keeping an eye on their events calendar.

Logie Steading

We love visiting Logie Steading. It offers everything from shopping and eating to walking and fishing. We love to go and browse the art and exercise the children, but always end up leaving with various purchases from the farm and garden shop. Logie Steading also run courses and activities all year round.

Brodie Castle

Owned by the National Trust, Brodie Castle offers a great day out for all the family.  It has a great café, play park and sensory garden! Great for a hot chocolate or picnic with friends whilst the kids entertain themselves.

Speyside Cooperage

Savour the sights, sounds and smells of a working cooperage. Fascinating tour with a lovely café and shop.
