Highland Walks

Exploring the Highlands

Where to walk, well this is a bit of a ‘how long is a piece of string’ question as there are SO many places to list and we love a gentle stroll as much as we enjoy tackling a Munro. A few suggestions to start you off:

Loch an Eilein

This walk in in the Cairngorm National Park and it truly stunning.

Morar & Arisaig

We love a beach walk and these beaches offer beautiful views and white sand- what is there not to love.

Great Glen Way

The great glen way runs from Fort William to Inverness and takes in some stunning scenery along the way. We particularly enjoy the section that enjoys views of Loch Ness – it is truly picturesque.

Falls of Shin

We always enjoy a walk to watch the salmon leap at falls of Shin.

Munros

Of course there are also numerous Munros to climb in the Highlands, a favourite of ours would have to be Schelhallion, but the highest and probably the most famous is of course Ben Nevis.
