James Barnett is a Rural Surveyor and Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS), bringing extensive experience across rural property, estate management and agency.
James began his career with the Mount Stuart Trust on the Isle of Bute as a Trainee Surveyor in 2018, before joining Stanley Wright Ltd in 2020. During his four years with the firm, he worked across a diverse range of rural clients throughout the South West of Scotland, including acting as Resident Agent for a mixed farming and sporting estate.
In 2024, James moved to the Highlands to join Cawdor Estate as Assistant Agent, further developing his experience in rural estate management and agency.
James holds a BSc (Hons) in Rural Enterprise and Land Management from Harper Adams University and brings a broad understanding of rural property and estate management to his role with Paton & Co.
