We are highlighting some events for your December diary and, as you might expect, this month’s events have a festive theme, ranging from the UK’s tallest living Christmas tree within the grounds at Cragside to a Christmas market that’s taking place over three villages in Northumberland.
Go and see the UK’s tallest living Christmas tree at Cragside
Standing at more than 42 metres tall – which is over twice the height of the Angel of the North – this Giant Redwood Wellingtonia is set to shine brighter than ever as this Christmas, for its second year running, this majestic tree will be decked out in 1,200 lightbulbs – only now in glorious multi-colour. With late-night openings on selected dates, visitors can experience the magic of the tree illuminated against the winter sky, creating a festive landmark that’s impossible to miss. Saturday 29 November to Sunday 4 January. More details here.
